After working for area general contractors, Hunter Parks saw ways to improve on the “old school” general contracting model. In April 1998, he formed Hunter Construction Company as the general contracting division of what is now known as Hunter Companies.

Hunter Companies is an umbrella for separate companies that provide property management services, leasing and real estate investment.

​

Through steady growth, Hunter Construction now employs seventeen people. Over half of the Hunter team has been with the company for more than a decade. Our goal is not to be the biggest general contractor, our goal is to be the best!

​

At Hunter, we build not only for our customers but also for ourselves. In doing so, we know what works and what doesn’t over the long term. We provide a quality built facility that minimizes maintenance and stands the test of time.

We proudly serve Eastern Iowa area communities, and appreciate the continued support of our clients. We make it a point to stay actively involved and give back to the communities we serve, as they have contributed to the growth and success of Hunter Companies.

About Hunter Parks

Hunter was born and raised in Cedar Rapids. He is a graduate of Washington High School and earned his BA in Finance and Civil Engineering from the University of Iowa. He has over 24 years of experience in the construction industry. In his free time, Hunter enjoys fishing, downhill sking, and spending time with his family.
